Mission LX-2 Bookshelf Speaker (PAIR)
The Mission LX-2 Bookshelf Speaker (PAIR) utilises Mission’s traditional driver configuration and placing the tweeter below the mid/bass, the Mission LX-2 Speakers have been constructed with Mission’s roots at the forefront of the design team’s minds. The traditional arrangement facilitates times alignment between drivers for better synchronisation of sound production from each speaker as it reaches the listener. The LX-2 uses a 25mm microfibre dome tweeter and a 13cm fibre composite mid and bass driver through a 4th order design single-wire crossover. Due to the care in which the drives have been developed, the Mission LX-2 Speakers deliver low distortion and an even response.
The Mission LX-2 Speakers have been calibrated for the enhancement of off-axis performance while maintaining balanced on-axis sound. The LX-2’s crossover is a result of persistent trialling of different components, enabling the most optimised results possible. The Mission LX-2 speakers are housed in a compact, substantial wooden cabinet, displaying the advantages of going back to the basics in terms of design, whilst using modern, cutting-edge techniques and strategies to provide a concrete platform that is integral to the drive units. At 30cm tall, the Mission LX-2 Speakers offer rigidity that is not normally seen from other speakers of their size.
The Mission LX-2 Speakers are versatile in their positioning options, be that in the middle of a bookshelf or placed upon a pair of dedicated stands. The LX-2s will offer the best possible result when placed close to a rear wall (not completely against), providing the rear-firing port with a little space for the best performance result. Delivering a deep bass that loses no precision or authority; the Mission LX-2 Speakers time well-presenting changes in momentum without neglecting any subtleties.

First purchased a pair for Cambridge Audio AM10 and then another one to use in my native place farm house. Inverted placement of tweeter gives it a pleasant sound with no harshness. very smooth tonal quality and well built.

Using this pair with Marantz nr1601 (2010 model) av receiver for stereo music. Very luxurious female vocals. Seems these speakers shines well with marantz & nad i am lucky to have a marantz receiver. Previously used pioneer sp fs 52 & bs 22 which are very hard to drive speakers. But with Mission & Maranz i am a happy listener now.
