I’ve been a vinyl collector for years now and have been looking for a budget-friendly turntable that I can use to play my records. I had a limited budget to work with, but thankfully I was able to find the Audio Technica AT-LP120XUSB Direct-Drive Turntable. The best part about this turntable is that it comes with a built-in phono preamp and a USB output, which makes it a great option for audiophiles, as well as vinyl collectors like myself. The turntable is user-friendly and it is also very easy to set up and use. I just connect it to my receiver, which is hooked up to my speakers, and I am ready to go. The sound quality is excellent and I can even connect it to my PC to record my vinyl records in MP3 format. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this turntable to anyone who is in the market for one.

As a mid-level turntable, this product checks all the boxes that a melophile would look for. Audiophile purists might give this product a wide berth, as the standard cartridge might not be capable enough compared to the high-end MC or even premium MM cartridges. But for most of us regular folks, who want to enjoy the rich, warm tones of a vinyl record, AT-LP120XUSB is more than enough to provide hours of comforting melodies in our living room.
This is my second vinyl turntable, after the beginner Denon 29f that was bought around 2017. After almost six years of playing, and since the cartridge on the Denon cannot be replaced easily, it was time to relegate that to the retirement home(read, a dark and dusty shelf of a cupboard), while the Audio Technica now occupies a place of pride on the living room cabinet and belts out hours of pure bliss. Coupled with the in-built phono amp(which again purists might scoff at), you are good to go without the need for a separate phono preamp. Options for playing 33,45 and even 78rpm records, an inbuilt preamp, and a pretty sturdy base with adjustable feet make this a good investment for years to come. The removable cartridge is the icing on the cake. You can upgrade or change to a different cartridge, depending on your preferences and budget. The only drawback I can think of at this price point would be that the tonearm height cannot be adjusted. Hence, you cannot change the platter easily to something else like an acrylic platter and so on, if the dimensions do not match the current platter height. Leaving that aside, the supplied aluminum platter and felt mat is pretty suitable to dampen any vibrations(again, we are speaking from a layman’s perspective, not from audiophile technicalities) when spinning records.
Overall, a good mid-range turntable that can serve its purpose for many years to come. The cartridge is the consumable part of the whole setup. Since that is removable, considering if we maintain the device properly, this should be in our homes for a couple of decades or more, quite easily.
At this price point, it is easy to recommend, even if you do not fancy the bells and whistles like a cue light, pitch adjustment, reverse play, etc., which are more so for the DJs.
HiFiMart shipped out the product fast and it was in my hands within 3-4 days. Thanks!

This is indeed a wonderful Turntable that will help you to listen to your vintage vinyl treasures. Sound is amazing and you get an belt drive at a reasonable price. The robust design of this turntable is an added advantage. Further it has 3 speeds – 33,45 and 78rpm to play records of your choice.
