The new Audiolab 7000N Play Network Steamer builds upon that legacy building introduction of wireless audio streaming to the brand with enhancements and improvements to match the step up from the established 6000 series to the new class-leading 7000 series.
Bringing hi-resolution wireless audio streaming to any home audio system, the 7000N Play further expands on the multi-format, multi-platform, multi-source compatible DTS Play-Fi system, now with Apple AirPlay 2 compatibility.
Featuring DTS Play-Fi® Technology, music can be streamed over your wireless network in high-resolution format and can be easily expanded to a multi-room system if required. You can stream from any source on your wireless network, including smartphones, tablets or PCs as well as a NAS Drive.
Besides accessing your personal music library, the DTS Play-Fi platform offers a wealth of leading online music channels from around the globe. Spotify, Tidal, HD Tracks, Deezer, Amazon Music, Napster, KKBox and Sirius XM, to name a few. Browse a radio guide with thousands of stations and podcasts, or stream from a home media server with DLNA compatibility. And thanks to the aforementioned AirPlay 2 adoption, the 7000N Play also now offers further compatibility for Apple Music users and other non-Play-Fi native platforms by way of Apple Airplay 2 connectivity, offering all of the additional convenience of the Apple platform.
Sporting a new 2.8″ (480 x 640mm) IPS LCD screen with a detailed but simple to use GUI, the audiolab 7000N Play offers a vivid representation of information including streaming service, system settings, format, folder, track details and other data. It can even be set to display a VU meter in ‘analogue’ or ‘digital’ form, showing real-time decibel levels for the left and right channels for the analogue outputs – a satisfying graphical representation of the music as it plays.
The sheer versatility, operational simplicity and wide-spanning service options from the audiolab 7000N Play make it a very appealing wireless audio streaming solution. Just like the award-winning 6000N Play; for some, it is the perfect way to stream music from the likes of Spotify, Tidal and Deezer, with all the additional functionality of Play-Fi including multi-room audio. Not to mention the expansive AirPlay 2 provisions. For others, it is simply the best way of adding radio to their hi-fi system, with the huge choice of stations available via the internet – the traditional hi-fi ’tuner’ component, reinvented for the streaming age – all with the audiolab pedigree and performance!

I am a big fan of the Audiolab brand for a long time. Their gear is always of high quality and I’ve never had any problems with it. This new Network Steamer is no exception. The design is beautiful and the sound fantastic. I’ve got all my music stored on a NAS, and the Audiolab can access all of it flawlessly. The sound is amazing, with no loss in quality due to streaming. I also have a few Apple devices in the house, and it was a breeze to set them up with the new steamer. The app is easy to use, and I can control the steamer from my phone. All in all, I am a happy camper with this beautiful sounding steamer.

I have this steamer connected to my home stereo system and I have to say it is an awesome-sounding unit. I can stream music from my mobile devices, my home network and the internet all to my entertainment system. I have it connected to a pair of passive speakers through my audiolab 7000A amplifier and it sounds amazing. I can hear all the details in the music and I can listen to all my favourite streaming services like Spotify, Tidal, and Amazon music. I can even connect it to my laptop and play my own playlist. The interface is simple and easy to use for all my devices. I just love this steamer and all the great music I can play on it.

I also wanted a solution that allowed for wireless streaming of music from my phone. I found this solution for the job and it does everything I need it to do. Having the opportunity to try out the new Audiolab 7000N Play Network Steamer has been a real treat, especially with it being the first of its kind to offer Apple Airplay 2 compatibility out of the box. And you know what that means? It means that this little piece of equipment is a real game-changer when it comes to streaming music wirelessly around the house on multiple devices. To be honest, when I first saw the Audiolab 7000N Play, I was a little bit confused. It did not look like any device I had ever seen before. It was simply just a box with a button. But after a quick overview of the device’s features, I was excited to see what the possibilities were. Setting up the 7000N Play was extremely simple. I downloaded the DTS Play-Fi app on my phone and was immediately connected to my wireless network. I then easily added new devices to the Wi-Fi network. Now, I have a total of six devices that I can stream music to through the 7000N Play: my phone, my tablet, my computer, my Amazon Echo, my Google Home, and my Apple Watch. I can also connect my TV to the 7000N Play
