The new Elac Debut C6.2 paints a majestic soundstage that brings movies and music to life. New dual front ports allow placement in cabinets or against the wall without compromising bass frequencies.
New Tweeter with Wide-Dispersion Waveguide
A new silk-dome tweeter features a wide-roll surround and takes response up to 35,000 Hz for even more lifelike high frequencies. The waveguide improves directivity control and eliminates the diffraction modes inherent in traditional box enclosures.
New Woven Aramid-Fibre Woofer
The revised shape of the aramid cone offers even greater stiffness and damping, far superior to polypropylene or paper. The added strength allows more flexibility in design to achieve a smoother, extended low-frequency response.
New Cabinets with Easier Placement
Thick MDF cabinets with a luxurious black ash vinyl finish are larger and internally braced for greater stiffness and strength, greatly reducing cabinet vibrations which cause unwanted colouration. On the Bookshelf and Centre Channel, moving the bass port to the front of the cabinet means placement against walls or in bookshelves won’t compromise performance.

Recognising that in a multi-channel system, the majority of sound comes through the centre speaker, we have optimised sensitivity and impedance to minimise the power requirement of the AV receiver, maximising dynamic impact with lower-cost receivers.

I have had this speaker for a while now, and have watched it grow in my system. It is simply outstanding. It is the center channel of a 5.1 system, and it has the ability to be connected to a subwoofer, or not. It is also able to be placed horizontally or vertically, depending on the room in which it is being used.
