WiiM Amp Pro
WiiM Amp Pro is a wireless streaming amplifier with Bluetooth® and Google Cast.
The WiiM Amp Pro builds on everything that made the original WiiM Amp a favorite, plus some great upgrades. It has the same sleek design and easy setup: connect it to a pair of passive speakers, and you have a high-resolution streaming stereo system ready to go.
So, what sets the Amp Pro apart? WiiM has refined the internal circuitry for better wireless performance and enhanced sound quality. One key difference, though, is that unlike the original WiiM Amp, the WiiM Amp Pro does not include Apple AirPlay.
The main improvements between the WiiM Amp and WiiM Amp Pro are:
- WiiM Amp Pro boosts the sound quality to a new level with Post Filter Feedback (PFFB) technology, ensuring load-independent performance.
- WiiM Amp Pro is equipped with the latest Wi-Fi 6E and BT 5.3 with BT LE audio support. It delivers rock-solid wireless connectivity for even the most demanding Hi-Res audio streaming.
- WiiM Amp Pro has a premium 32-bit/384kHz ES9038 Q2M SABRE DAC and TI TPA3255 Class-D amplifier.
Cleaner Sound and an Upgraded DAC
The Amp Pro features a redesigned internal circuit with a Class D amplifier and Post-Filter Feedback, reducing noise and distortion for clearer, more detailed sound compared to the original Amp. Plus, the upgraded DAC includes the highly regarded ESS Sabre ES9032QM2 chip, ensuring you get the best possible audio quality—whether you’re playing high-resolution files from local storage or streaming from services like Qobuz, TIDAL, and Spotify.
Faster Wi-Fi and Smoother Streaming
The Amp Pro takes a big leap forward with tri-band Wi-Fi 6E, offering faster speeds, lower latency, and less interference compared to the dual-band Wi-Fi 5 in the original Amp. This is a game-changer if you stream high-res music or have multiple devices connected to your home network.
Easy Streaming with Multi-Room Audio
Setting up the Amp Pro is a breeze—just connect it to your home network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet and use the free WiiM Home app (available for Apple® and Android™) to get started. The app lets you access multiple music services and group additional WiiM devices (sold separately) for seamless multi-room playback. A built-in mic on the Amp Pro helps eliminate playback lag between connected devices.
For streaming, you’ve got plenty of options: Google Cast and Alexa work for both single-room and multi-room audio. It also supports Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect, so you can play music directly from those apps. If you’re a Roon user (subscription required), the Amp Pro will show up in your player list.
One thing to note—AirPlay 2 is not included in this model, unlike previous WiiM devices. As an Apple user, I don’t mind the change because streaming through the WiiM Home app delivers better sound quality and responsiveness.
With two-way Bluetooth, you can stream music from your phone, tablet, or computer to the Amp Pro. You can also send audio from the Amp Pro to your Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
Versatile Connectivity, Including HDMI ARC for TV
The WiiM Amp Pro is built for flexibility. Connect an analog source like a turntable (with a phono preamp) or cassette deck using the stereo RCA input. Use the optical input for digital sources like a CD player, or plug in an external storage drive via USB for high-res music playback.
Want to enhance your TV audio? The HDMI ARC port lets you connect your television for clear, powerful two-channel sound—and you can even stream TV audio to other multi-room speakers.
Smart Sound Adjustments with Room Correction & Bass Management
The WiiM Amp Pro helps fine-tune your listening experience with built-in room correction, using your phone’s mic to optimize sound for your space. It also includes a dedicated subwoofer output (sold separately) with in-app bass management. When you connect a sub, the high-pass filter ensures your main speakers focus on mids and highs, giving you richer, more dynamic audio.
